Safe Passage is NWAC’s community-driven, survivor-centered initiative documenting cases of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, Two-Spirit, transgender, and gender-diverse people (MMIWG2S+).
This groundbreaking project—led by Indigenous peoples for Indigenous peoples—combines a national database with culturally relevant resources while providing space for families and survivors to share their stories on their own terms.
Through holistic documentation, education, and support, Safe Passage works toward ending the MMIWG2S+ genocide and restoring Indigenous women, girls, and gender-diverse people to their rightful place as sacred, honoured members of their communities.
